Initial Consultation – Free

The first meeting is completely free and usually lasts around an hour. During this time, I’ll listen to what you would like to to improve or change in your life. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions about  the  sessions  and what they will involve. I’ll also provide you with a link to a  complimentary relaxing MP3 recording prior to our first session

Confidence and Self esteem

Are you facing low confidence or low self esteem  that might be holding you back to being able to  achieve your  full potential? Even though deep down you may well  know  that you have  the ability to succeed, are you struggling  with the  confidence and self-belief to make it happen?

This program is designed to increase your confidence and self-esteem. We will work by combining positive thinking with guided relaxation.  During the sessions, you’ll be encouraged to relax and focus on your strengths and build a  picture of the  future where you feel more confident. This approach can help to  make you  feel more optimistic, improve how you see yourself, and empower you to set and achieve goals.  You will be able to  build a stronger sense of self-worth and as a result  make lasting improvements in your confidence and self-esteem. Anxiety and Stress

Feeling stressed or anxious can be incredibly tough and often can  feel completely  overwhelming , making you feel low in mood, and less confident. It might lead to some habits you don’t like, and if you are not sleeping well this can make things feel even worse.

In our sessions, we’ll focus on finding and boosting your strengths, so you can shift away from stressful thoughts to more positive solutions. This can improve your sleep, helping you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day.

We’ll use a mix of discussing  solutions and using guided relaxation to help you feel relaxed and less anxious.  This can lower stress levels, bringing a sense of calm that eases both the physical and mental symptoms of anxiety. It’s like being able to  rewire your mind with positive ideas and strategies, giving you tools to manage stress better.  We will  figure out what you’re already good at and help you become even more confident and resilient, so you can handle tough situations with a  much more positive mindset.

Sleep Problems

We can help you positively  improve your sleep by looking at what you’re good at. Instead of  focusing  on sleep problems, we will  help you set goals and remember times when your sleep was better. Throughout the process you will  learn what happens in our brains when we get anxious, frustrated, stressed and feel  under pressure and why this can affect out ability to sleep. 

We will  guide you to find positive habits and strategies for better sleep, shifting your focus from any underlying  issues to find  possible solutions.  We  encourage a forward-looking and hopeful mindset, giving you the power to make practical changes that can lead to better sleep and overall well-being.

Post Traumatic Stress/ Trauma

One of the interventions we use at the Therapy Hubb for trauma  is The Rewind Technique. This technique is quick, non-intrusive, and doesn’t require you to share personal details, making it a safe and efficient option for overcoming trauma.   Developed as a form of trauma-focused cognitive therapy, the technique involves guiding you  through a relaxed state while mentally revisiting the traumatic memory. Unlike some traditional  therapies, Rewind Therapy avoids detailed recounting of the traumatic event. Instead, it allows you to mentally process and desensitize the distressing memories in a safe and controlled manner. By repetitively revisiting the traumatic memory in a detached and empowered state, you can experience a reduction in the emotional intensity associated with the trauma, leading to symptom relief and an overall improvement in your  well-being.

Phobias, such as fear of spiders, flying, elevators, heights, enclosed spaces, crowded public places, needles, snakes, dogs, and insects, are incredibly common . These fears arise when a perceived threat triggers intense emotional reactions, causing the brain to process the event differently,  which can often leading to it becoming lodged in your limbic system. This can result in  panic attacks or flashbacks. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses  a technique to change those sensory  memories into a narrative memory which reduces the emotion attached to them. This focused and non-intrusive approach helps to provide  quick and effective relief for many types of  phobias.

Having a baby/ child  taken into foster care

Having child removed from your care following birth following a court order   can have a huge impact on your mental health and stress levels. There is often very little support once this has happened and the aftermath of having to go through court  proceedings and then potentially having your baby removed from your care-so often because of significant vulnerabilities in your own life  cannot be underestimated. These sessions will focus on trying to reduce the huge impact that having to go through this can take as well as trying to find solutions to help move forward and link you into some additional support networks.
