My name is Sarah Green. I am a fully qualified solution focused therapist, a specialist midwife in Public Health in the NHS and the founder of the Therapy Hubb. I feel very fortunate to be able to work online with many wonderful clients from all the over the UK.
I am also a practicing midwife who specialises public health caring for families with additional emotional, physical, and social support needs. Using my experience as a midwife within my therapeutic practice has been invaluable as it has enabled me to have a deep understanding of working with many different families and individuals together with being able to use a wide range of resources and approaches to ensure that my wonderful clients are able to get the very best out of their sessions.
Solution focused therapy is a combination of clinical hypnosis combined with Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). It is based on highly researched, evidence-based neuroscience and addresses many problems including anxiety, stress trauma, phobias, anger, and many other mental health and physical issues.
The beauty of this approach is that you do not need no need to focus or talk about previous traumas or problems that you may have had in the past. There is a wonderful quote from one of the founders of Solution Focused Therapy Steve de Shazer who said- “You don’t need to know what a problem is in order to solve it”.
What I continually find amazing about this approach is its ability to empower people to make positive changes in their lives by encouraging clients to discover their own strengths and capabilities. Once someone gains insight into how powerful their brain is and the amazing things it can achieve the changes that can take place are transformational.
The Therapy Hubb approach is to use your own inner resources to help helps you find solutions and build a vision of how you would like your future to be. It allows you to make positive and significant changes in your life within a short period of time which helps you to feel calmer, happier, increasingly confident and in control.
